Children's play equipment was severely damaged after arson attacks.
Clacton Fire and Rescue were called out twice to blazes at the Vista Road playground at 12.25am and 1.35am today.
In the first incident, a large slide was set alight. That blaze was put out within ten minutes.
Clacton police officers who were dealing with that attack then called the fire and rescue service when they discovered a second slide on fire. The blazes are being treated as suspicious and police officers will return to the scene today to investigate what caused them.
