Wakering's miserable Bank Holiday weekend continued when they lost their second Essex derby in three days.
Having gone down at home to Maldon on Saturday, the village side were second best yesterday at Aveley and suffered a 3-0 reversal.
The home side took a 16th minute lead when Kevin Marsden's throw was flicked on by John Whittaker for Jordan Hughes to score.
On the stroke of half-time the Millers made it 2-0 with former Billericay Town and Tilbury midfielder Steve Jones firing home unmarked from 10 yards.
Hughes hit the woodwork after the break, but Wakering's misery was complete on the 68 minute mark when Danny Curran made it 3-0.
