A man on a mission posted dozens of letters to every Southend councillor - urging them to vote against plans for a multi-storey car park at Southend's Kursaal centre.

Roger Exell, who lives in Marks Court, off Southchurch Avenue, is chairman of an action committee opposed to the car park.
He spent the weekend posting councillors copies of more than 30 letters from Marks Court residents, explaining why they believe it would ruin their standard of living.
The package also contained an eight-page petition with 130 signatures.
He said: "I spent Saturday night and Sunday morning tracking down their addresses and making the deliveries by hand so there was no way they could claim the letters were lost in the post.
"The car park would be surrounded by three blocks of flats - so that's about 700 flats which would be affected."
Executive councillor for environmental and public protection, Ann Holland said: "I have received the package and will look at all the objections.
"My vote will be based on a balanced view taken from all the evidence that will have been put before us."
