Billericay suffered their first Ryman Premier defeat of the season as they went down to a Yeading side who, with this success, took over from the New Lodge outfit at the top of the table.
With experienced striker Bradley Allen joining midfielder Gavin Heeroo on the injured list, Town boss Justin Edinburgh fielded an attacking line-up which saw young front runners Dan Jones and Ross Wareham alongside top scorer Danny Hockton.
After a quiet opening the game exploded into life with three goals in the closing 15 minutes of the first-half.
Midfielder Darti Brown put the homesters in front when Billericay failed to clear a corner and ex-Town man DJ Campbell made it 2-0 when he grabbed his sixth goal of the season eight minutes later.
But the visitors refused to buckle and got back into the game before the break when Hockton latched onto an underhit Alex Stanley back pass and shot home.
Billericay dominated for long spells of the second-half, but were thwarted by a string of fine saves from experienced home goalkeeper Delroy Preddie.
He saved from Jones and Hockton but reserved his best effort to keep out a Robin Trott header from point blank range.
To add insult to injury, Yeading grabbed a third 10 minutes from time through Errol Telemaque to leave the home side continuing their unbeaten run and Billericay determined to get back on the win trail this afternoon when Leyton visited New Lodge having lost three of their first five games, conceding 11 goals in the process.
