Elderly locals put their weight behind Beaufort Lodge Care Home, St Vincent's Road, Westcliff, and pushed a pack of wheelchairs on a nine-mile sponsored effort.
Day-trippers visiting Southend looked on as staff, residents and carers wheeled along the seafront dressed as heroes from the silver screen.
The determined bunch made their way through Westcliff and past the Shore House pub in Shoebury. The fundraising total so far is £800.
Sandy Halls, manager at Beaufort Lodge, said: "We had about 20 people and seven wheelchairs taking part."
