Darren Bent today admitted he is in a 'win-win' situation with regards to his possible transfer to Charlton Athletic.
Ipswich Town rejected a £3 m bid on Friday but the Addicks are rumoured to be preparing an improved offer, thought to be in the region of £3.5m.
They have until tomorrow to do that - when the transfer window closes - and Bent said: "What will be will be.
"Like any player, I'd love to play in the Premiership. But I'd also love to stay with Ipswich, so I'm in a win-win situation."
Bent was careful not to say too much about the situation but happy to sing the praises of strike partner Shefki Kuqi, who scored both goals in Saturday's 2-0 Coca-Cola Championship success at Rotherham United.
"I'm so pleased for him," said Bent.
"He has his critics but people who say he can't play haven't got a clue."
