Jason De Vos today issued a defiant message as he and his Ipswich Town team-mates prepare for tomorrow's trip to Rotherham United.
The Blues face a double-header of Coca-Cola Championship fixtures, with a home clash against Wolves coming up on Bank Holiday Monday.
And De Vos said: "We haven't been anywhere near our top form yet but we've already got seven points from four games.
"That's very promising because it shows we're capable of grinding out points.
"Obviously, I wasn't here this time last year but I know the boys made a bad start.
"We're very mindful of making sure there are no repeats. We need to keep picking up decent results, even when we're not firing on all cylinders."
Canadian De Vos was rested for Tuesday's Carling Cup success against Brentford.
But he has declared himself fit for tomorrow's game, despite suffering bad bruising to his fibula and tibia.
"The main thing is there's no fracture," he said.
