Great Wakering Rovers embark on the first leg of their Maldon Town home marathon tomorrow.
They host their Essex rivals in Division One East of the Southern League tomorrow and a week later the two sides clash in the preliminary round of the FA Cup.
And that is not the end of the Wakering v Maldon story at Burroughs Park. On Saturday, October 9, the two sides continue their fight for supremacy in the opening exchanges in the FA Trophy.
Wakering have been in good-scoring form with nine in their first four games - but they have also let in nine at the other end.
Dan Trenkel (five) and Danny Heale (three) are already building-up a good striking partnership and have netted all but one of the village side's goals so far.
