Thieves have stolen £10,000 worth of computer equipment and petty cash from offices in Dunmow High Street.
Essex Police received reports of the break in at Foort Taylor Solicitors, on Monday at 8.30am.
The theft has left partners of the legal firm shocked as they count the cost of having lost 10 computers and cash in the burglary.
Sheelagh Foort, partner, said: "I am extremely angry and disappointed.
"They knew exactly what they were after, they took the computer screens and hard drives, leaving us with the keyboards and mouses.
"It has made life very difficult because we are always busy and it now means that operations have been stalled for a few weeks."
