A car enthusiast from Hatfield Peverel is celebrating after the Morris 1,000 she restored won a trophy.
Suzanne Evans restored the rose taupe, two-door saloon in 1982 and the car is now 41 years old.
She drives the car occasionally and enters it in competitions.
The car won the merit level of the Eastern Regional Morris Minor Owners' Club rally at Oxburgh Hall, Norfolk, and has been promoted to the gold category for the next race.
She said: "I restored it between December 1982 and June 1984, from buying it to getting it back on the road again, and I have done a few bits to it since and I restored all of it myself."
All of her mechanical knowledge is self-taught and Mrs Evans, 41, even did the respray herself.
