Green-fingered householders and traders in Witham have been recognised for their efforts in keeping the town blooming.
Witham in Bloom has published the results of its annual competition, which judges said this year was one of the most hotly-contested they could remember.
The Lian restaurant in Newland Street triumphed in the best large premises category, while Fish'n'Chick'n, also in Newland Street, was the best small premises.
Crofters wine bar in Maldon Road was judged best new entry while the Little Elms in Dorothy Sayers Drive won best pub.
The Grove Centre won best shopping centre, while best industrial premises were Countrywide on the Freebournes industrial estate and Farah Europe on the Eastways estate.
Derrick Clutten was judged to have Witham's best hanging baskets at his Maldon Road home while Sally Webb, of Newland Street, won the best window box category.
Churchfield residential home in Avenue Road won the best residential or community garden award, while Derrick Clutten notched up a second triumph to jointly win best front garden in Chipping Hill and central ward, along with Diane Clark, of Barwell Way.
