Southend United defender Andy Edwards is hoping for another memorable victory over West Ham tonight as the Shrimpers visit Upton Park for the opening round of the Carling Cup.

The experienced centre back helped Blues record an unexpected 1-0 victory over the Hammers back in 1993 and is dreaming of repeating that score-line this evening.
"We were fighting to stay up at the time and West Ham were fighting to go up," recalled Edwards who re-signed for the Seasiders during the summer.
"Roots Hall was packed and if I remember rightly Brett Angell scored as we won 1-0. It was a fantastic night - one of the best games I've ever been involved in - and if we can do the same this evening it would be superb."
But Edwards is expecting a difficult night against an Irons side who are seventh in the Championship and just missed out on promotion back into the Premiership last season.
"It's going to be a very tough game and obviously different to what we're used to," he said.
"We're going to be up against better players who move the ball around quicker and we need to be able to deal with that."
