Seaside residents are being asked to shop a vandal.
Specially-designed witness forms are being given to householders and shopkeepers at Frinton and Walton as part of the council-led crackdown.
They are being asked to fill in details of anti-social incidents - even if they have only heard of it.
The written complaints can be used as evidence without the risk of being named or having to go to court.
The forms can be handed in at Frinton and Walton Town Council offices on the Triangle shopping estate, Frinton.
Crime-fighting councillors are also waiting for the arrival of their first community police support officers, hopefully by the end of the year.
The initiative was sparked by worries following repeated problems with louts last year.
