Police are hunting armed robbers who held up a post office in Nayland today.
Robbers armed with what appeared to be a shotgun and a baton raided the village post office at 9.30am.
It is believed three men entered the post office, in High Street, Nayland, and demanded money from the postmistress.
A spokesman for Suffolk Police said the postmistress was not injured and no shots were fired.
The robbers were seen to leave in a red Ford Sierra car.
Police were today at the scene of the raid.
They appealed to anyone who saw the car or who saw anything unusual in the area to contact Suffolk Police immediately, dialling 999.
