Basildon & Pitsea romped to a 90-run win over Old Brentwoods.
Frank McLeod (135no) and Kiran Sangani (106no) led the way as the new towner reached 266-2 at Mopsies Park.
Then Sangani (4-24) and Michael Gray (3-35) ripped into the Old Boys' batsmen to bowl them out for 156.
"It was about as good as it gets, although we can still improve the fielding, which is not 100 per cent," said skipper Paul Ayres.
"Credit to Frank and Kiran though. With all the rain this week the wicket was very soft. It was like bowling marshmallows on a blancmange."
