Travellers on Leigh marshes are set to stay for at least another two weeks because Southend Council is struggling to agree a court date for an order to kick them off the land.
Southend Council needs a judge to make an eviction order but the earliest court hearing it can book is August 31.
Even if the court makes an order, the travellers will have another ten days to leave the land. Southend Council said it was doing all it could.
