Basildon District Council's recycling team is urging residents living in Basildon, Wickford and Billericay to recycle their old Yellow Pages when the new edition is delivered in a few weeks.
The council has made it easier for residents to recycle by placing two special recycling banks just for Yellow Pages at the back of the Towngate Theatre following funding from the Yellow Pages Directory Recycling scheme.
Residents can also recycle their old directories in the brown cardboard banks displaying the bright Yellow Pages stickers from Monday, August 23 to Thursday, September 30 at the following locations:
Tesco Langdon Hills, Mandeville Way; Tesco A127, Mayflower Retail Park; Somerfield car park, Wickford; Billericay town centre car park, rear of Woolworths; Sainsbury's car park, Nevendon Road, Basildon; Jolly Friar pub car park, Whitmore Way, Basildon and Barleylands recycling centre, Barleylands Road, Billericay.
For more information, call the council's recycling team on 01268 294889.
