At the start of the 90's Primal Scream produed an absolute gem of an album called Screamadelica, which was a highly innovative moulding of rock and underground dance music.
Tonight at the JJB Arena the band played just one track - Movin' on Up - from the collection.
Admittedly bands like Primal Scream - who have been around since the late 80's - want to play new material and keep their acts fresh.
But it was disappointing that the band failed to give Screamadelica greater recognition.
The group did perform 'Rocks' and 'Jailbird.' from their 1994 album 'Give Out But Don't Give Up.'
However much of what was on offer at the JJB tonight was confirmation that the band have still not developed a truly distinctive sound, thus wasting the opportunity they had with Screamadelica.
