Another impressive turn on the NME stage this afternoon was the New Jersey band 'Fountains of Wayne.'
It's nice to see that the boys don't take themselves too seriously. They were introduced to the crowd as 'two time grammy losers.'
Lines from the lead singer like 'our road crew just became our percussion section' and 'we've just come over from our native land of...Manhattan,' endeared them to the crowd.
And on top of this they performed some damn good songs.
'Mexican Wine,' 'Stacy's Mom' and 'Hey Julie,' covering subjects like love and work, were performed with the band's trademark good humour.
