All hail the man in black!
Julian Casablancas has just swaggered his way onto stage and is about to give us the full rock 'n' roll treatment.
In fact The Strokes seem a little out of sorts to start with. Maybe Julian's being laid back or just been enjoying a pint or two prior to get on stage but the band launch into their set regardless and Reptilia with Casablancas almost playing catch-up.
This though is only a slight hiccup in the headline set which sees The Strokes tear through their best known material from Is This It? and Room On Fire.
High points include Last Nite and I Can't Win as well as 12.51.
There's certainly a showmanship about Casablancas and though he gives due respect to the previous act - The Pixies- it's The Strokes who appear to have several thousand people watching their every move.
A pint in one hand and cigarette in the other, The Strokes' frontman seems to be quite enjoying himself and points out there's a plentiful supply of alcohol on the stage if any festival goers are interested!
It's all accompanied by a steady New York drawl which adds a little more cool to Casablancas, shielded by his dark shades.
In addition to promises of new material soon, the band do a cover of The Clash's Clampdown.
The band finish with Take It Or Leave It before a destructive exit.
The amp comes down, a guitar is smashed and the drum kick is quite literally taken apart.
Casblancas told us at one point when the new songs are written he'll 'see you at the party'. Just hope you're not the one hosting it!
