Thousands of pounds worth of tools were stolen as thieves went on an overnight crime spree.
Tools worth more than £4,000 were removed from vans with nine crimes recorded in South Woodham, Baddow and Boreham last Wednesday night (August 18).
A van parked in Baron Road, Woodham had £2,000 of tools stolen while a van in Baddow Road, Baddow had tools worth £550 removed.
Thieves were seen twice in Longfield Road, Baddow at about 2am on Wednesday. Once breaking into a van from which they stole £3,500 and again after stealing two lawn mowers worth £200 each from a garage.
The men are described as about 6ft tall and 30 years old.
Thieves were also seen attempting to break into a car in Lodge Avenue.
A blue Ford Escort was stolen the drive of a house in Goodwin Close.
Thieves broke into a van parked in Fitzwalter Road in Boreham but the tools had been removed.
