It's a bit of a challenge for The Bees appearing as headliners on the Music Choice stage.
They're up against the Basement Jaxx sound system on one side and The Kings of Leon on the NME Stage to say nothing of Muse's set.
Given near impossible odds to try and grab audience attention the band stick to the basics. They go out put on the best show they can, stick to the music and above all make sure everyone has fun in the process.
Some polite applause soon becomes dancing and jumping from the crowd who take to the band's infectious 60s and 70s influenced pop.
There is little talk from the band until the end of their performance and then it's just to mention the new single - Chicken Payback accompanied with necessary clucking noises.
In the, what appears brief, 35 minutes before we've had some great guitar-led pop.
The group have moved on from their first album and with the material from Free the Bees are maturing into a possible future V Stage act.
Having now seen The Bees at consecutive festivals (the featured on the NME Stage last year) it appears the band from the Isle of Wight are shifting through the musical gears very smoothly.
Besides, where else are you likely to find a band who can pull off a guitar and trumpet solo in the same song?
