Colchester United starlet Jamie Cade believes there is no reason why the club cannot write a new chapter in their history at Chesterfield.
The U's line-up at Saltergate tomorrow with the prospect of winning an unprecedented first four games of their league campaign.
Former Spirite Cade, who enjoyed a two-month spell there on loan from his old club Middlesbrough, is confident they can set new feats at Layer Road.
He said: "We made a bit of history last season when we finished in our highest league position since the club was promoted.
"And we had the best run in the FA Cup since 1971 - so there is no reason why we can't do it again."
The 20-year-old is relishing the chance of lining-up against his former club.
"I enjoyed it as I knew one of the players, Mark Hudson, before I went on loan.
"It was special as it was also my first time away from Middlesbrough and my first taste of League football.
"The fans all wished me well in my final game, although they were not too happy when I returned with Colchester last season, but that's football."
