Southend Athletic Club's men have won the Southern Men's League Division One title in fantastic style -- taking a maximum 30 points by triumphing in all six matches.
Now they go to Abingdon on September 18 for the promotion match where they will be up against other league winners and runners-up from all over the United Kingdom, plus a couple of other lowly clubs trying to keep their places, looking for a place in next season's National League.
Their latest success at Luton was with a 145 points total and star win of the day was from under-20 Adam Shaw with a stunning pb 49.5 400m to move up to sixth on the club's all-time list.
Moving up that all-time list also was Dave Condon. He's now third in the hammer after an excellent 42.98 - but in a high quality event at Luton this was only good enough for fourth spot.
