Castle Point MP Bob Spink has spoken out against Government plans to increase the number of wind farms in the UK by 5,000 by 2010.
He says he has no problem with wind farms, but they have to be in the right locations.
He has spoken out against plans for wind farms on the Thames Estuary. He said: "I welcome wind farms in the right circumstances, but the voice of protest against them is growing louder across Britain.
"Even in Castle Point people are angry at the way that wind farms are being foisted on them.
"The problem is going to get bigger as the Thames comes under pressure for massive wind farms."
