The Goju-Ryu Karate-Do International recently held its annual summer Gasshuku at Writtle College, an event attended by 200 students across the UK, South Africa and Sweden.
The training was led by Master James Rousseau 7th Dan, and weapons instruction was given by Master Arnold De Beer 7th Dan (Chief GoJo-Ryu Instructor) from South Africa.
UK instructors included Len Sim 6th Dan (GKI Chairman), Kevin Nason 5th Dan (GKI Coach) and from Sweden, Bo Estrand 5th Dan.
This highly successful event was organised by Chelmsford instructors Kevin Nason of Keene Hall Dojo, and Keith Bishop and Andre Leister from the Trent Road Dojo.
More good news came as Graham Wendes and Alex Bruckin, who train at Chelmsford Gojo-Rya, have been awarded black belts.
