A mother of two is looking for help to raise enough money to take part in next year's London Marathon.
High hopes - Jo O'Callaghan wants to run in the next London Marathon Picture: ANNA LUKALA
Jo O'Callaghan, of First Avenue, Canvey, has written to nearly 300 businesses but has had no replies.
She has raised £200 in gifts from family and friends but needs a further £1,500 to qualify for the 26-mile run next April.
She is raising money for the charity Scope.
Jo, 39, said: "I've never done a marathon before but it's one of my personal goals to complete one.
"I got some money from a collection outside Asda, and friends and family have helped, too."
If you can help Jo raise money for charity by sponsoring her, give her a call on 07745 494549.
