Glasgow four piece The Casuals are creating a sound that's making waves way beyond their sixteen years.

And V Festival revellers can get their hands on some free merchandise on Sunday August 22nd courtesy of Vfestival.info and The Casuals.

Fifty items of merchandise will be given to the first 50 people at the front of the stage who mention the band.

Brit Films are also providing an opportunity for budding video directors to get involved with The Casuals, inviting film-makers to pitch an idea for the video for Good People, with the winner's video being made and serviced to all of the music shows around, from Popworld to MTV.

The Casuals have been packing out venues in their native Glasgow for the last eighteen months with an enigmatic frontman, potent rhythm section and guitars that fuse volume with intelligence.

They will be following their set at T in the Park with sets on the Music Choice stage at the V Festival on Saturday (Staffordshire) and Sunday (Chelmsford).

Their latest EP struts through every form of the rock genre, from insular intensity to euphoric crescendo. 'Good People', 'Lies' and 'Mary Jane' all showcase The Casuals blossoming musical maturity.
