Eastwood suffered mixed fortunes in their Shield matches. They lost by six shots (57-51) when taking on second-placed Alexandra in the Parren.
A Woodley, who beat D Pratt 25-13, was Eastwood's only winner with G Cribb losing 23-12 to M Stainer and D Murray going down 21-14 to H Kearns.
However, it was a different story against Alex in the Beharrel. They won by 10 shots (59-49) with K Gurr beating D Reader 18-14 and W Rushton overcoming D Davidson 27-11.
Only Alexandra success came when C Husk beat A Edwards 24-14.
Eastwood claimed their second maximum points in the Group Six Division Two when they beat visitors South Benfleet by 24 shots (46-22).
