A female learner motorcyclist was taken to hospital after coming off her bike on the roundabout outside the Ford plant on Cranes Farm Road, Basildon.
Laindon Traffic police are investigating the details of the incident, which occurred at about noon yesterday.
The silver Suzuki motorbike the woman was riding suffered minor damage, with the right rear view mirror smashed and the front learner plate dislodged.
The conscious woman had a neck brace on and was placed on a spinal board before being lifted into the ambulance.
Three police cars also attended the scene, which closed one lane on the roundabout.
