Essex charities and local organisations who benefitted from donations made by VIP guests at the 2003 V Festival were presented with their cheques at a recent event.
At the special gathering at Hylands House, Chelmsford, just over £100,000 worth of cheques were presented to seventeen organisations including Cancer Research, Essex Air Ambulance, Oxfam and the NSPCC.
Broomfield Hospital was the biggest single recipient and received £27,500.
The ninth annual V Festival will return to Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford, on the weekend of August 21/22 2004.
