Delighted youngsters are preparing to be put through their paces by a former international test cricketer in Hadleigh today.
They will take part in a three-day cricket camp at Hadleigh and Thundersley Cricket Club, at John Burrows Recreation Ground, Rectory Road.
The Castle Point Council event will be led by former Indian international test cricketer Dev Gandhi.
The council's community development officer for physical activity, Claire Lowe, said 20 boys and girls, aged between eight and 11, would join in the fun.
She said: "They will start off with coaching, learning skills and then develop it into matches."
