The family of a Basildon man swept into the sea off the Cornish coast have refused to give up that he is alive.
Student James Burnett, 20, from Loxford, Felmores, was knocked unconscious as he fell into the sea at Fox Cove, near Padstow.
Rescue teams searched for 24 hours before calling off the operation due to poor weather.
However, the Devon and Cornish police, say James's family are clinging to the hope he will be found alive and well.
