Leigh residents concerned about development in their town have a great new tool available in the form of a website to help them fight back.

On www.leighmatters.co.uk/WLRA/Plans.htm people can find out which planning applications have been submitted and who to send letters of objections to.

The website is currently being hosted by the West Leigh Residents Association.

Chairman Eddie Cornish said: "We decided to open a website to make sure people had as much information as possible. We also have a newsletter and open meetings."

The Leigh Action Group hopes people will use the facility to make their voice heard.
