Cash machine users were today urged to take extra care after fraudsters copied a man's credit card details and emptied his account.
The thieves captured the vital data after attaching a plastic device to a machine outside Halifax Building Society, Furtherwick Road, Canvey.
Customer Gary Huzzey, 39, of Thameside Cresent, Canvey, had only used the machine to check his balance, but within hours his account had been stripped of its £200 contents.
