A commuter pulled on his trainers to help raise money for a charity fighting heart disease.
John Russell of Bedford Close, Tiptree, joined in the annual British Heart Foundation's Canary Wharf Jog near his offices in east London.
Mr Russell, 42, who works in audit management looking at safety quality and environment, was sponsored by his employers Tubeline which provides services to London Underground.
He is hoping that friends will donate cash to the charity.
He said: "It's a nice thing to do this event once a year. It's a good cause and its good fun."
Further information about the charity is on the website at www.bhf.org.uk
