The Hockley Angling club are supporting the fund of the Essex Air Ambulance by staging a sold out charity match on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30.
But you can still help to keep the helicopter flying without so much as having to pick up a rod.
Hockley Angling are giving you the chance to win some excellent donated prizes, including a champagne limo ride for a party of eight to the Elmsmere Hotel to enjoy a three-course meal and all drinks and free memberships for the club.
Other prizes include a man's mountain bike, silver money clip, £100 to spend in AW Russ leather shop, Hebrium ladies watch, £50 to spend on bait at Essex Angling, bouquet of flowers and a large bottle of vintage champagne.
To win the prizes above all you have to do is be one of the 10 guesses nearest the charity day's winning weight of fish, either over or under the final figure.
The winners will choose which prize they want, nearest weight having first choice.
All anglers taking part are very good pole anglers and will be fishing between 10am and 4pm.
Last year the match was won by Dave Ealding with 247lb.
Guesses are £1 and you can enter as many times as you like, either by post or by visiting the lake and seeing either Janice or Robin.
Postal entries should be sent to: Hockley Angling Club, McCalmont Drive, Rayleigh, Essex SS6 9TZ.
All entries should include full name, daytime and evening telephone numbers. plus the weight of fish guessed in pounds and ounces.
