A 15-year-old Canvey boy who had lost his remote controlled plane has had it returned by a friendly islander.
David Eve, of Hannett Road, lost control of his new £90 plane at the Smallgains field when it took to the air for the first time.
The plane, with a wingspan of more than three feet, got caught in a sudden gust of wind and was swept away towards Rainbow Road.
David's older sister, Suzanne, 19, said: "Thanks to the lady in Korndyk Avenue who spotted the plane in a neighbours garden, David now has the plane back, surprisingly without a mark on it after the long distance it travelled."
