Geraint Williams believes Colchester United's shaky finish against Stockport County could prove to be a blessing in disguise for the U's.
The early-season form of the Coca-Cola League One table-toppers - two wins out of two - has delighted assistant boss Williams.
But the U's came close to squandering a 3-0 lead against County in midweek when the Lancashire outfit pulled it back to 3-2.
And, speaking ahead of tomorrow's home clash with Peterborough United, Williams told the Evening Gazette: "Six points from two games is great, but we know we haven't cracked it yet.
"We've been working on a few things in training, assessing some of the things from the Stockport game.
"I think they've got a potent strikeforce and they really came back at us well when they went 3-0 down.
"But we've been looking at how we can defend things better and stop balls coming into the box.
"The good thing is we didn't lose any points from it, so hopefully it will just serve as a wake-up call."
