Colchester United's flying-start to the Coca-Cola League One campaign has come as no surprise to goalkeeper Aidan Davison.
"I'm not shocked at how we've started, you could see glimpses of it during pre-season," said the 36-year-old, who signed a one-year player-coaching deal with the U's back in June.
"During the friendlies you could see from the way we controlled the ball and defended that we were going to get off to a positive start.
"We have a lot of lads in the side who are capable of bigger and better things, and it's showing."
Davison has been in fine form himself, pulling off some lightning-quick saves to keep the U's in with a shout in the first two games of the season. "It's been a great start," said Davison.
"I'm enjoying playing for the club at the moment, but everyone is when you're winning."
