East Essex Triathlon Club had a good turn out for the junior London Triathlon which consisted ofa run/bike/run in sweltering temperatures.
Dale Jackson had a great race, coming in a commendablefourth place overall havinghad a very good bike ride.
Despite coming second in both legs of the run George Moxon finished seventh. Matthew Woodcock came in fourth on one leg of the run and is improving.
James Jackson and Timothy Butt bothput in a marvellouseffort in their first London Youth Super Sprint Competition as Jackson came 12th and Butt 17th.
Results: Male 9/10 - Matthew Woodcock( 8th); Thomas Clark (13th). Male 11/12 - Dale Jackson (4th); George Moxon (7th) Jack Hudson (19th). Male 13/14 -David Moxon (12th).
The club had two new members who did well. Emma Steddon came eighth in the female eight-years and Rachel Steddon was 12th in the female 10-years.
Two of the East Essex triathletes will represent the Eastern Region in the Junior Inter Regional Championships in Liverpool on September 4.
They were selected for finishing in the top two competitors after three gruelling triathlonraces.
Harry Smith, from Daws Heath, who attends the Deanes School, Thundersley, is thrilled to have been selected.
And Basildon's Woodlands School pupil Grace Pettet, has been training hard and also hopes to do her best on the day.
