A secure home for patients with manic depression and schizophrenia is set to expand to take in 34 new patients, it was revealed today.

Clare House, in Pound Lane, Bowers Gifford, has already won planning permission to accommodate new patients with serious mental health conditions.

The home, owned by the St Andrew's Group of Hospitals, has applied for 34 more beds in addition to its 36 residential beds and 17 high-dependency beds.
