Nearly £5,000 was raised at a pub fun weekend to boost funds for the Leukaemia Research Fund.
The Royal Albion in High Street, Walton, opened its doors for the event.
Residents, shops and business helped out by organising events and donating items for the auctions.
The fundraiser started with a pool competition and the following day there was a bouncy castle and a meat raffle.
Children had their faces painted and entertainment was provided by local band The Best of Three.
Josh Markham, one of the band members, has just recovered from leukaemia for the second time.
A big auction was held where 26 items went under the hammer. These included an Arsenal football shirt, which made £500, boxing gloves signed by more than 14 boxers for £550 and boxing shorts signed by Mohamed Ali, which raised £400.
Beverly Sanderson, pub landlady, said the auction made more than £2,000.
