West Ham manager Alan Pardew has warned the rest of the Championship to expect much more from recent aquisition Sergei Rebrov.
And the Ukrainian star can expect to get a chance to impress up front as well as down the right wing over the course of the season.
It all adds up to a scintillating prospect for the Hammers' front line, especially with Luke Chadwick pressing a strong claim for a start on the right flank.
"It's too early to judge Sergei yet - he's had just three games and he's not even fully fit," said Pardew. "I hope our fans will be patient enough not to judge him on that.
"He's come down a level and sometimes players get a shock in this league when they say how fast and how lively it is.
"He's comfortable in his mind playing down the right, and he can give us a lot more than he has shown so far."
