A distraught woman found her prized collection had been stolen from her home in Great Wakering and immediately reported it to Rayleigh police.
Officers received a tip-off and moved quickly to prevent the instruments being sold on. They made an arrest after raiding a property in the village.
Four other people have now been arrested in relation to the theft.
The thieves had made off with two electric guitars, an acoustic guitar, an electric drum kit, a mixing deck, sound deck, cymbal and speakers.
