One of Leigh's oldest shops will close down later this month.
Ron and Maureen Parry, both 64, have decided it is time to retire, after running the Peter Nicholas store, in Leigh Broadway, for 28 years.
The store sells a range of hardware, gifts, toiletries and household goods.
They will close for the last time on August 28 - but the pair have urged customers not to panic. While the store will change its name to the Factory Shop, the Parrys have been assured by the new owners the shop will continue to sell the same line of goods.
Mr Parry said: "The shop has given us an enjoyable and rewarding career.
"We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the people of Leigh, who have always been extremely supportive.
"We were very keen that the new owner would continue in a similar vein because there are not a lot of shops like this in the area. We are very happy that is going to happen."
