Colchester United boss Phil Parkinson believes the Layer Road faithful got good value for their money for their first-half showing against Stockport County.
U's boss Phil Parkinson
The U's went 3-0 up in the first 45 minutes thanks to goals from Kevin Watson, Wayne Andrews and Craig Fagan.
Parkinson said: "Some of the stuff we produced in the first half was exhilarating.
"However, we didn't dominate in the second half like we should.
"We said the right things at half-time, but we didn't do them to the letter in the second half.
"Some of the football we produced in the first half was top-rate stuff.
"We struggled to start in the first ten minutes, and things didn't go our way.
"But the lads that we have here have a lot of belief in their ability and in the end it came through for them."
