A teenager missing from her home for almost three weeks is on her way home.
Concerns were raised after Shantel Summerfield, of Oakley Road, Wix, disappeared on July 22.
She was not seen after visiting her aunt in Great Oakley and saying she was going to meet a friend.
After an extensive search and widespread publicity, the 16-year-old was found a week later safe and well and staying with her penfriend in Northern Ireland.
Now she has decided to come home.
For her mother Linda it was the end of an anxious wait.
She said: "It has been a real worry and I'm so relieved to know she's coming back.
"We've just plodded along day after day, but you lose track of what day it is.
"Everybody has been asking about her and has been quite concerned they just kept saying to me 'at least she's safe'."
