Behind the wheel - children at Craylands Clinic learn about vital road safety Picture: ANNA LUKALA
Youngsters at Craylands Clinic enjoyed a supervised toddle while being given simple safety advice by their teachers.
Clare Snell, a Craylands community nursery nurse, said: "It's a great way to teach vital road safety skills to toddlers while having fun and helping to save lives."
The Beep Beep! initiative has been organised nationally by road safety charity Brake and Green Flag motoring assistance.
It comes after national statistics revealed 24 children under the age of seven are injured on the roads every day and one child in that age range dies every week.
