Getting to grips with town centre traffic has proved tougher than anything Brands Hatch has to offer for Kiel Bryce Picture: STEVE BAINBRIDGE
Without a care in the world, he has negotiated hairpin bends at gravity-defying angles and roared past rivals in the blink of an eye.
It seemed nothing could put the fear of God into Kiel Bryce - until he went for a spin around the mean streets of Colchester.
Despite his exploits on the track, the British Superbike Championship ace had until recently never ridden on the roads.
He passed his Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) test a few days ago and will be at Colchester Test Centre tomorrow in the hope of gaining his full licence.
On paper he is odds-on to pass.
But as he told the Evening Gazette yesterday, getting to grips with town centre traffic has proved tougher than anything Brands Hatch has to offer.
"It's hard work on a race-track but at least everyone is going in the same direction," he said. "I'm getting used to all the road signs and so on, but it is a lot different to what I am used to - they are coming at you left, right and centre."
The 22-year-old, who is in the process of moving from Camden to Braintree, decided to use his test adventure to promote the Government's Think! road safety campaign.
